I’m from Austin, TX. I am an artist 3 times a month when I remember. I think I’m team Jacob. I believe in the power of a good cuss word. I love Taylor Swift but can respect when people are wrong in disliking her. I love traveling like everyone else. I like to tell it like it is. I hate thinking of “fun facts” about myself. I didn’t like eggs until I was in 11th grade. I’d like my spirit animal to be a pink and purple warrior unicorn pegasus. I am a Hufflepuff. I love reading.
I hope to provide a comfortable and safe environment for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs towards yourself and your world. It can be difficult to truly be yourself when you’re experiencing pressure to play certain roles or fulfill responsibilities in your day-to-day life. I will encourage you to be honest with yourself and feel more freely from a nonjudgemental position that brings about healing and connectedness.
I like to allow space for you to discuss whatever is on your mind presently, while always bringing in the experiences of your past that may have shaped how you respond to present-day stressors. I value helping my clients build their self-acceptance by developing a nonjudgemental stance towards their hardships. I believe understanding emotions is a key part to healing and recognizing unmet needs. I value adapting my techniques around each client’s goals so I may utilize several different modalities depending on your unique set of needs.
I work with adolescents (12+) and adults walking through self-esteem issues, relational concerns, trauma, postpartum depression or anxiety, and family conflict. I specialize in couples work, adolescents and their parents, maternal mental health spanning from fertility through motherhood, and women with sexual abuse trauma. I focus on helping my clients identify their goals, develop self-compassion towards their struggle, find hope for the future, and reframe their negative beliefs about themselves while providing practical coping skills for building a better life.
